How to: Dangle Letter

[Note: I’m sorry about the posting schedule! I recently moved and not only have I not had time to post, I have also not had internet for a while.]

This lettering is quite a bit of fun, and I find myself drawing these letters on all my school notes because there are so many possibilities!
You will need:
-A blank card
-Colored pencils
-Fine point black Sharpie
-Pencil
To start, I drew some basic block letters with my pencil. You can trace other letters if you want, or print some letters out with a light color font.

How to Make: A Sharpie Pillow

You will need:
-Fabric
-Colored Sharpie Markers
-91% rubbing alcohol
-A protected work surface
-An eyedropper
I had two types of colored sharpie markers; thicker and thinner ones. I wasn’t sure which ones would be better for this project, so I started off with two squares of test fabric. These are my thicker and thinner Sharpies compared.

How to Make: A Decoupage Box

This is a great, easy craft. I like to use the boxes to wrap small jewelry in for gifts. You can give the jewelry and the box, no wrapping paper needed!
You will need:
-Mod Podge (you could also use white glue because Mod Podge is a thicker, stronger version of white glue)
-Small White Jewelry Box (if your box is another light color, you can probably paint the box with white acrylic paint)
-Fancy Paper Napkin in Pretty Pattern

How to Make: Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Treats

Now, if you know me, you will know that I like candy. And I especially like holiday-themed candy. However, this holiday candy tends to be filled with sugar and other preservatives that you need a degree in chemistry to understand. That’s why I decided to make a less sweet version of chocolate covered peanut butter eggs.
Here’s what you’ll need:
-Chocolate. I used Trader Joes semi-sweet chocolate chunks.
-Peanut butter (most recipes call for creamy, but I'm daring to be different and use chunky. Also, we didn't have creamy open.)

How to Make: Key Ring Chapstick Holder

(Note: If you are unsure as how to sew, you can find my video here: https://youtu.be/-9vCHWlE75g)

A key ring chapstick holder is great so you’ll never lose your chapstick, and you’ll always have it with you, wherever you go. I was able to make this project in about an hour, sewing it by hand.
You will need:
-Fabric scissors
-Fabric
-Needle and thread
-Iron

To start, you should cut out a rectangle of fabric, 10”x2”.

How to Make: A Make a 9x9" Pillow- Part 2

The first part of my diy can be found here.

Before I show you how to cut out the backing of your pillow, I wanted to talk about iron safety. I probably should have put this in last week’s post since I told you to iron the squares, but it’s too late now.
Before starting to iron, you should clear off your ironing board, so there is nothing on it, but your iron and what you are ironing. I usually set my iron on one of the middle settings. There is a little chart on mine telling me what to set it at, depending on the fabric I’m ironing.

How to: Make a 9x9" Pillow- Part 1

This cute little pillow is a great project for someone who has very little sewing experience, or this is your first sewing project. It also makes a perfect gift, because it can easily be made in a weekend.

You will need:
-2-3 colors of fabric
-Sharp sewing scissors
-Pins
-Needle and thread
-Ruler
-A cat to sit on your fabric and make sure it’s soft enough
-An iron and an ironing board

I first picked out my fabric colors. I picked colors that went well together, sort of blues and greens.
